2020 month by month March

Covid finally arrived and despite the government trying to ignore it. This was the month lock down started.

It continued to rain, a lot. Spring was here and the flowers were appearing which gave me something to photograph other than puddles and wet streets. Covid provided me with some photos that have taken on a meaning that they wouldn’t have otherwise.

2020 month by month January

As we are almost at the end of the year its time to look back. I intend to put up an post for each month of the year in the next few weeks. They will be mostly photos unless I can think of something to write as in this case.

January the start of the year and part of a very long wet winter. Global warming means even more rain than we normally get here apparently. It also means that we wont be seeing traditional cold frosty and snowy winters as much. This January also had giants roaming through the streets.

Lament for lost winters

The dull weight of the clouds crushing me down on a dark winters day
No wonderful blue/grey light or sparkling clear skies
No frost shiny pavements or twigs cloaked in a coat of white
No twinkling night skies with their carpet of stars
Just rain threatening clouds
hiding the light
crushing the day under their smothering weight
